Just an hour east of Seattle sits one of the most picturesque modern A-Frame builds we’ve seen to date. Erected in just two days thanks to innovative Mass Plywood Panel construction (and a crane), the 1,721-square-foot cabin is a real looker.
Located at the foot of Snoqualmie Pass ski area Hyak—the very ski resort I grew up at—this modern cabin exists at the very center of my architectural dreams Venn diagram—prefab, A-Frame, Pacific Northwest. Oh boy it's good.

Designed by architect Ryan Stephenson of Stephenson Design Collective and built by Mark Rylant of Buildhouse, a new multidisciplinary build studio specializing in modern prefab and custom designs, the Scandinavian-inspired cabin is perfectly minimal from the standing-seam metal roof to the spacious interior.

Even with a massive ceiling height, the fir plywood and natural light that pours in throughout makes the space feel cozy and intimate. Exposed black iron hardware and beams give a subtle industrial feel that both juxtaposes and complements the space. A wood burning stove amplifies the cozy mountain cabin vibes.

With a total of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open loft area (and basement mud room for gear storage) this A-Frame hits the Goldy Locks proportions.
Sadly, this beaut sold this past winter for the low low price of $710k (lol). For more affordable A-Frames, check out these A-Frame cabin kits starting at just $6,500.
