Saving our national parks has never looked so hip.
Vans, longtime favorite of Cool Kids everywhere, has partnered with public lands-loving apparel and accessories brand, Parks Project, to release a limited-edition capsule collection inspired by California’s national parks and the Golden State’s legendary outdoor-oriented lifestyle.
From hiking in Yosemite to skateboarding by the beach in Santa Monica, both brands celebrate nature and being outdoors in their own way. And the collection’s look similarly blends this coming-together of two philosophies and styles. While the collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, and hats, we’re seriously digging the footwear.
The shoes feature iconic Vans silhouettes like the Classic Slip-On and the Sk8-Hi and are peppered with the Parks Projects’ tree logo and slogans like “Wild and Free” and “Leave It Better Than You Found It.” The colorways also range from bold shades like sunny yellow or deep blue to represent the colors of California’s public lands to retro looks like tie-dye or Vans’ trademark black-and-white checkerboard pattern.
And in keeping with Parks Projects’ central mission of donating a portion of profits to various public lands and national parks conservation and education projects, $250,000 will be donated to the National Parks Conservation Association.
